In his damp pit of snakes:
Bright laughter, not screams,
Songs of daring and dreams;
Above, foeman’s heart shakes.

Without, venom and chill
Boring through boar’s hide;
Within, despair denied
Through warmth of wisdom and will.

Lady’s embrace about
The boar’s heart, flaxen hair
Spun and spread to repair
Kisses from worm’s snout.

True, pigs sometimes squeal,
But Syr gives her swine steel.
